Licensed in Maryland, Virginia, & North Carolina!

Life can throw a lot our way. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, the aftermath of trauma, relationship challenges, or the effects of domestic abuse, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and stuck. But you don’t have to navigate these difficulties alone.

I’m a licensed therapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals like you find healing, build resilience, and create a life filled with greater peace and joy. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a genuine belief in your capacity for growth.

Why did I become a therapist?

I’m driven by a passion to empower others with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed choices and live authentically. I believe everyone has a natural self waiting to be discovered and nurtured, and I’m here to help you uncover yours.

What three words describe me best?

    Determined, Empathetic, Whimsical

    My Therapeutic Style:

I offer a firm but kind approach, providing a stable, secure, and consistent therapeutic relationship. I believe in empowering you with psychoeducation and fostering self-compassion through empathy and understanding.

    Areas of Specialization:

    • Adults experiencing C-PTSD and attachment-related challenges.
    • Adult children of emotionally immature, abusive, or neglectful parents.
    • Adults with young children, or young adults planning to have children, who are committed to breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma.
    • Individuals seeking to disrupt patterns of abuse in their relationships.

    Age Range:

While I welcome clients aged 18 and older, my primary focus is on young adults (18-50) who are dedicated to personal growth and creating healthier relationships and families.

    Types of Therapy:

I currently offer individual therapy exclusively. However, I am open to working with both partners in a couple individually to support their personal growth and relationship goals.

In our work together, we’ll explore the unique challenges you’re facing and develop a personalized plan to address your specific needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques, including EMDR, somatic experiencing, and IFS approaches, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed approaches, to help you:

    • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A powerful therapy for processing trauma and reprogramming the brain’s response to distressing memories.
    • Somatic approaches: A body-oriented approach that helps release trapped trauma energy and regulate the nervous system.
    • Internal Family Systems (IFS): A transformative model that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself, leading to greater inner harmony and self-acceptance.

I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. I’ll be here to support you every step of the way, offering guidance, encouragement, and a safe space to explore your concerns without judgment.

Seeking help is a sign of strength, and it’s the first step towards creating positive change. If you’re ready to invest in your well-being and start living a more fulfilling life, I encourage you to reach out.
