“Will it always have to be this way?”

This is a statement I hear often from clients when they first come to me. Holding hope for clients until they are able to hold it for themselves is a calling I feel honored to provide. My ideal client is one that has experienced trauma or crisis in their life, usually with their family of origin, struggles in relationships, has experienced anxiety, abandonment, or questions their identity and sexuality.

As a licensed professional therapist, I am able to assist in the following areas: caretaker anxiety, grief and loss, young adult struggles, trauma, gender or sexual identity, general anxiety, OCD, new mothers, and depression. I primarily work with adults but love the variety of ages. Additionally, I would describe myself as an excellent listener and extremely compassionate. In my work, I have really enjoyed working with mothers who are dealing with the anxieties that come with trying to balance being a caretaker and other life roles. I am also an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider and providing  a safe place for people to explore sexuality and gender identity is important to me.

I believe that therapy begins with a respectful environment where individual and relational needs are compassionately addressed. My personal and professional commitment is to assist every client in reaching a place of greater health, peace and wholeness through therapy. Unfortunately life is not without some measure of pain or struggle; therapy can be transformative and as your guide the healing process will open the door to a more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others. The therapy modalities I most utilize are Person Centered, CBT, and ACT.
