Zoe Alvarez – Accepting New Clients

Zoe (she/they)
Creative, genuine, and empowering
I am a queer and neurodivergent therapist whose practice is rooted in an anti-racist, liberation framework. I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic relationships and I’m dedicated to providing that space for my clients.
My Approach:
My approach to therapy is strength-based, starting by strengthening the coping skills, resources, and resiliency you already have. It is also collaborative. You and I will work together to personalize a therapeutic approach and craft the tools you need to create an authentic and fulfilled life. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parts Work, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I believe that art and other creative therapies can help us heal in ways that words sometimes can’t. My office is a place of unconditional acceptance, restorative humor, and crayons within reach at all times.
My Specializations:
I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating:
Identity Exploration (race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, and so much more)
Religious Trauma
PTSD & Complex Trauma
Autism
ADHD
College & Emerging Adulthood
Life Transitions
Polyamory/Non-Monogamy
Kink/BDSM dynamics
Services I provide:
I provide individual therapy for adults and teens ages 15 and over. I also offer surgical evaluations & support letters for gender-affirming procedures. I welcome younger clients (ages 8+) who are seeking therapy specifically related to autism, ADHD, or LGBTQ+ care.
In the future, I plan to offer group therapy related to my specializations. Please let us know if you are interested in therapy groups!
When I’m not working:
Tall trees, sunshine, and chai lattes make me really happy. In my free time I enjoy traveling, creating art of all kinds, and playing fetch with my cat.
