Naomi Johnson – Accepting New Clients

Hi, I’m Naomi! (She/Her)
Ever since I was a child, I’ve had this innate desire to help others. It wasn’t just about offering a band-aid for a scraped knee; it was about truly empowering people to overcome challenges and discover their inner strength. That deep-rooted passion led me to become a therapist – to create a space where individuals can navigate life’s complexities with kindness, support, and maybe even a few laughs along the way. (Because let’s be honest, sometimes a little humor can make all the difference!)
What three words describe you best?
Kind, approachable, and funny.
Languages I speak:
English and Spanish
Therapeutic Approaches:
I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and my approach is all about tapping into your unique strengths and resilience. We’ll work collaboratively, drawing from evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to develop practical strategies for managing depression, stress, and problem-solving. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, struggling with low mood, or simply seeking to enhance your coping skills, I’m here to guide you on your journey toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
My areas of specialization:
Depression: Helping clients understand and manage depression, including exploring underlying causes, developing coping strategies, and improving mood regulation.
Stress: Providing support and tools for managing stress, including identifying stressors, developing stress-reduction techniques, and enhancing resilience.
Anxiety: Addressing various forms of anxiety, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and specific phobias, through evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Life Transitions: Guiding clients through significant life changes, such as career changes, relationship shifts, or major life events, with support and coping strategies.
I work primarily with individual therapy for adults, particularly those in their mid-twenties to late sixties, I’m always open to exploring what will be most beneficial for your unique needs. And when I’m not in the therapy room, you can often find me exploring the vibrant culinary scene – I’m a self-proclaimed foodie with a passion for discovering new flavors and restaurants.
If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing, I’d be honored to be your companion and guide. Let’s connect and explore how we can work together to create the life you envision for yourself.
