I became a therapist because I’m deeply motivated by helping people understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create meaningful changes in their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to walk alongside others as they build resilience, gain clarity, and move toward greater well-being.
My personal journey as a military spouse, mother, and stepmom has deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, flexibility, and the value of strong support systems. Navigating frequent transitions, changing routines, and the unique demands of military life has given me firsthand insight into managing uncertainty, stress, and growth through change. These lived experiences allow me to bring compassion, authenticity, and a grounded perspective into my work, helping clients feel genuinely understood.
Three Words That Describe Me:
Compassionate, thoughtful, and reliable.
My Therapeutic Approach: An Integrative Path
My approach is eclectic and flexible, meaning I tailor therapy to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from a powerful blend of evidence-based modalities to help you build skills and achieve lasting change:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): For addressing thought patterns and practical skill-building.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): To enhance emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To foster psychological flexibility and create values-driven changes.
This integrative method ensures therapy is both structured and compassionate, supporting you in increasing emotional awareness and creating meaningful, values-driven changes in your life.
💡 Areas of Specialization & Focus:
I strive to provide an inclusive, affirming, and supportive space for everyone. I am open and eager to work with individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences, with particular experience in the following areas:
Eating Disorders: Providing compassionate support for clients navigating their relationship with food and body image.
Neurodivergence: Working affirmatively with clients who are on the autism spectrum, have ADHD, or other neurodivergent experiences.
Anxiety & Depression: Helping clients develop effective coping strategies to manage mood, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.
👥 Who I Work With:
Age Range: I am comfortable working with clients across the entire lifespan, from young children to older adults.
Therapy Setting: I am open to working with individuals, couples, and families, recognizing that meaningful change can happen both personally and within relationships.
🐕 Just for Fun:
Outside of the therapy room, you can find me enjoying my serious love for German Shepherds, reading purely for pleasure, and spending as much time outdoors as possible when the weather cooperates!
